Here I've been my head into swirls and twirls -Almost as bad as my head into the clouds - and sticky frosting.  But today I hustled for Kelley MacDonald had a jamming (sorry for the pun) jelly
donut a couple of days ago. Well I found a jelly donut with all the sweetness sitting pretty on top of the chocolate.

Thank you Panchitas!

  2. One more thing that may draw me to CA! WHAT? What kind of crazyperson puts JELLY on TOP of FROSTING on a JELLY donut??? I've GOT to have one of these...
*slam*.... (me getting in my car at 5 a.m. to drive cross country in my nightgown....)
p.s. great job with this, BTW

  3. So sorry that I have been out of the loop for these "doughnut wars" (been in Mexico on vacation)....is it too late to paint up a Krispy Creme?

  5. Lovely rich sumptuous colors. I notice that some blood (I mean jelly) has been spilled in this recent battle of the donut wars. What carnage will happen next!

  6. Oh, that jelly on the chocolate is absolutely decadent! Excellent work! Your pastels have the intensity of oil paint...I don't know how you do it!

  7. Well the donuts are just plain fun! I noticed the words "donut war" on Gwen's post and had to have a look! And you were a belly dancer? So was I in a former incarnation (my 30's)! The costume making took me too far away from painting though and I returned to the fold as I realized I was never going to be the Queen of Sheba or even a decent Las Vegas show girl (I made up for lack of dancing ability with extreme enthusiasm - lots of people thought I was really good but I wasn't:-). I'll be following. Find me at http://karenmartinarts.blogspot.com.
