Yellow Fields is a depiction of the desert grasslands
surrounding the Chiricahua National Monument, a
wonderland of towering rocks and trails.
Unfortunately the National Landmark is threatened by
the Horseshoe 2 fire raging in Southern Arizona and
closed temporarily.
There's so much to explore at the Monument! One is nestled
within the Monument is Faraway Ranch Historic District,
home in the Bonita Canyon to Swedish immigrants,
Neil and Emma Erickson. Built in the late 1880's, it then
operated as a guest ranch from 1917 to 1972. Tours are
available or guests may roam the grounds on their own.
