AM I REALLY HERE?

SURREAL SUNSET 6" x 6" pastel Museum glass + Black Frame SOLD Standing and viewing from afar . . .  the colors as they burst through the night. Reds on fire coupled with turquoise and greens that emitted an illusion of untold places.  Here . . . but not.

DUNKIN' IS COMING!

( * The middle pastel image) TINY SQUARES + A HOLE * 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" pastel 8" square archival white matt, glass + gold frame $150 - tax + shipping inclusive Just read that Dunkin' Donuts is intending to reemerge in California! And everyone knows that my old time fun-loving, donut foe, Kelley MacDonald would gather all of her ammo' at her local Dunkin' Donuts. Left me hitting every pastry store between 3 states to retaliate. Just couldn't keep up with her jelly-packed delights. Now watch out Girlfriend!

UP, UP AND AWAY!

JUMP! 24"h x 18"w pastel + gold leaf Really been grooving on skateboarding images! Amazing the contortions the body can been twisted. Go Noah!

HERE'S LOOKING AT ME

SUSAN 12"h x 9"w pastel sketch Very intimidating to paint oneself. After all, do you  think we perceive ourselves as others? I look so serious! Hmmmmm . . . . .  Need to expand my knowledge for the students in my  upcoming pastel portrait workshop at the San Diego Museum  of Art and the Intermediate Drawing classes at UCSD Extension.  So have been plugging away and revisiting with different papers and styles of execution.  Too easy to get cozy with a constant style.  So let's experiment!

SOLD - THANKS TIRAGE!

GREEN + 2 RED 10"h x 8"w pastel Off to a wonderful home - thank you Tirage!

ZOE - A PASTEL PORTRAIT

ZOE  pastel sketch Christmas was a kick   and so enjoyed the short visit  with my family! Did a mad dash to Albuquerque with  an extra stop on the way and on the return to visit friends. During the drive, worked away on upcoming class  projects. Amazing what one can accomplish!  But knew I needed to get some figurative poses  together, so corralled my daughter and 2  granddaughters to work. Above, Zoe , is a sample for my one-day pastel portrait  workshop to be held at the San Diego Museum of Fine  Art on Saturday,January 12th.   Wondering what she's gazing at?
