A LITTLE OF THIS + A LOT OF THAT

WHITE SEA BASS * 6"h X 16"w Painted, engraved + etched glass * Collaborative - Susan E. Roden & Nancy Arthur-McGehee Tomorrow is the day to hang the show at Coalesce Gallery. The majority of the art are my pastels, yet will also showcase a selection of collaborative glass art created previously by myself and Nancy Arthur-McGehee.  These pieces are unique and stunning.  And collaborating with an artist that uses a different medium was exciting! Makes one view creativity with different eyes. In a previous blogpost I profiled another glass piece  with an explanation of our procedure. You can reread  it by clicking here . A WALL TO THE SKIES

A TRIO OF SKIES Preparing for an exhibit opening this Friday, which is always a huge endeavor . . .   fun, but a lot work. So that's where I am right now with my elbows  up to a pile of frames and so looking forward to the party!  Above are 3 of the mini skies that will grace one wall.

AND THE KITTENS ARE PLAYING!

OLIVER pastel + silver leaf Sold Yesterday the sun was blasting away in San Diego,  which always lifts my spirits!   My little house sits on a slanted hill, so one side is 16 feet from the ground. This gives me an elevated, expansive view and incidentally where I find most of my sunsets that I paint.   So first thing this early morning, I glanced out my window. Lo' and behold what do I see, but two little kittens on the  neighbors roof! Just scampering around and having a good  time chasing each other. Such a humorous, delightful sight! To commemorate here's an older painting  of a delightful cat, Oliver.
