Behold the beauty . . .
which captures my attention as gazing upward.

The blues, pinks and purples shimmer in the pastel sky.

The colors are animated and alive . . .
and dominate the landscape.

REDHEAD
12" x 9" pastel on paper

Well I'm still on the fly with nearly all possessions
in storage. But it is so nice to start getting into
the daily flow of things!

Above, REDHEAD, is from a life drawing session today.
Nice to dust the cobwebs off and paint!

FLYING . . . IN THE CLOUDS - SOLD!

AND WITH MANY THANKS TO

So very fortunate in today's world to have gallery
representation and am very honored to have been
carried by Tirage Art for over a decade!

With many embracing the world of technology, the brick
and mortar shops have been falling to the wayside. Yet there
is nothing like going in person to view original art. I don't
care how many pixels / per inch a computer screen has, for
it's deceiving to the original scale. A viewer may be impacted
by very small images with great detail, as opposed to a very
large and simplistic rendering. So please remember your
galleries! They are so important to the livelihood of artists
and the gallery owners, as well as promote original art.

So with humble thanks to Tirage Art, here are pictures of
just a few of their very recent sales.

ORANGE + BLUE RIBBONS - 5" x 5" pastel by Susan Roden

ORANGE + BLUE RIBBONS*
5" x 5" pastel on paper
*no mat nor frame
$50 + $5 Insured shipping

It has been quite a while, but I have finally returned
to "blogdom"! In the interim, I had moved from sunny
San Diego to sunny Albuquerque, which is glorious in it's
own rights. Having lived here nearly two decades ago, it
feels as if I've returned home.

I have not settled into permit dwelling, so painting
on the fly. And what would be more apropos than
a colorful, original sky?

The skies in Albuquerque have so much movement,
particularly during sunny days, which I will
be showing more later.

Please note since I'm in temporary housing, that this
little sweet sky is not framed nor matted, which has
been reflected in the cost.
