WOOLY AND WONDERFUL

LIZARD-SHEEP assemblage sold Baa! And how would you like to snuggle up  with this sweet little lamb . . .  er,  lizard?  Only have till tomorrow to see the show.

NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT PEARLS

MARILYN 7"h x 7 1/2" w doll, lizard, wood, pearls, stone + gold leaf It's a tiny world, but nevertheless my world! And in it I play make-believe with found elements. I have been digging on a white palette, so unlike  the colorful world of my pastels. But there was no  way I could commit to a white face for Marilyn.  Au' natural was perfect with the pearls.

JUST LIKE THE GREEKS

FROM THE BEGINNING . .  . TO THE BREAKING . . .  HEAR THE CRASH? (I feel like I'm back at the Greek clubs as they break plates)   TO THE GLUEING . . .  WITH MORE TO COME . . .

ALL THAT IS GOLD GLITTERS

RAM print + gold leaf on bristol 6"h x 4"w I have been playing with my doll and animal  imagery,  by creating 2 dimensional prints which  will  hang with the 3 dimensional figures.  Just little  visions of fun! So the gold leaf has been flying! I have specks all over me, the table and the floor. Kind of like a party going on over here.

ALL MY HEART

ALL MY HEART 7" glass-domed doll art bisque head, squash stem, mosaic, glass heart So quiet in my  blogland for had been traveling, coordinating art for the Old House Fair, creating art for  my  upcoming shows and structuring lessons for my  UCSD Extension pastel classes.  Amazing how time flies! Above is one of my 3-dimensional pieces, All My Heart , which will be in the October Show .  And the little girl was so fun constructing, for her body is made from a squash stem  provided  by a dear friend! Below is the piece in entirety   under it's little glass dome.

OH NO! where's my hands?

I love gifts from my friends! One of my playmates and artist friend Nancy, gave me  this sweet little stem of a squash. We marveled over how  body-like it was shaped, so I searched for an appropriate  little doll head to go with it. Now I just need to find little hands to finish her  itty-bitty body. I do have grand visions for this little  girl, so will keep you posted! Lovely day everyone!
