SUSAN'S . . . PLAYING AGAIN!

  four 7" x 7" pastel 10" x10" white mat, glass and frame Such great news!  The above abstract, four, was juried into Santa Fe's  gallery, Light Space Time 's 13th Online Abstracts Exhibition . And  many know abstracts are a departure from my usual representation  art. I had been playing around with this style to create a class on  abstracts, so had painted a few. Great honor to be juried into this  exhibit and I received special recognition! Submissions had to be nonobjective and nonrepresentational with  three divisions, photography & digital, 3 dimensional and painting  & other medium, which my piece was admitted into. The  gallery received 1,091 entries from 29 countries. HIDDEN JOSHUA  6" x 6" acrylic on canvas This petite gem is one of three going to Aurora Colorado for the 26th Annual Gateway to the Rockies Art Show .  So excited!

ATTITUDE + GOLD 10" round pastel + gold leaf on wood 13" square glass + gold frame Boy, some mornings I feel just like this . . . glum.  Actually it's funny to see the expression on someone  else, which makes me more conscience on the look.    Even with a sad expression I love this piece!  And this piece is one of the three pastels that were  juried into New Mexico Art League's  True Likeness,  and exhibition of the portrait and figure  show  which opens October 22nd. 

THE SHROUD 14"h x 11"w pastel + gold leaf Tomorrow, January 8th signifies the opening of Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club 's 122nd Annual Open Juried Exhibition. Pleased that my above  painting, The Shroud was juried in.  The show may be viewed at the National Arts Club,  15 Gramercy Park South, NY, NY, through January 25th.  The hours are Monday through Friday, 10am-5pm. Saturdays and Sundays are by appointment.
