ORANGE + BLUE RIBBONS - 5" x 5" pastel by Susan Roden

ORANGE + BLUE RIBBONS* 5" x 5" pastel on paper *no mat nor frame $50 + $5 Insured shipping It has been quite a while, but I have finally returned to "blogdom"! In the interim, I had moved from sunny  San Diego to sunny Albuquerque, which is glorious in it's  own rights. Having lived here nearly two decades ago, it  feels as if I've returned home.  I have not settled into permit dwelling, so painting on the fly. And what would be more apropos than a colorful, original sky? The skies in Albuquerque have so much movement,  particularly during sunny days, which I will be showing more later. Please note since I'm in temporary housing, that this little sweet sky is not framed nor matted, which has  been reflected in the cost.

AN EVENING OF ORANGE 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" pastel 8" square archival white matt, glass + gold frame $150 - shipping + tax inclusive Cloaked was the evening in orange. A color so warm and fiery that it lit the sky.  And the erratic, flaring tones swished  before darkness fell.

AN INERT DAY

AN INERT DAY 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" pastel 8" square archival white matt, glass + gold frame $ 150 - tax + shipping inclusive Inauspicious was the day . . .  continued to the eve.  Massive in weight, t he orange clouds  layered high above.  Dark, brooding and ominous, which created a sullen mood.  I crave some blues! And Olivia here is the link for you:

AN ORANGE GOOD-NIGHT

AN ORANGE GOOD-NIGHT 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" pastel 8" square archival white matt, glass + gold frame SOLD - PRIVATE COLLECTION OF ALEX RICHARDSON What a view from my window! A heavy layer of dark colors cloaked the mountain and at first glance, quite ominous.  And with a second glance, behold bright orange  splashes that snaked throughout the sky. So an orange good-night to one and all!

ALWAYS A SILVER LINING

DRIPPING 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" pastel 8" square archival white matte, glass + gold frame SOLD - PRIVATE COLLECTOR It was late afternoon and . . . the  sun was blazing . . . as I withered from the scorch. The heat parched my mouth . . . as I walked. Yet a beauty I behold . . .  from an illusion   that lightened my step.   The orange clouds appeared to melt before my eyes.
