SUSAN'S . . . PLAYING AGAIN!

ONE LILY  4 1/2" x 4 1/2" pastel on wood glass + gold frame $65 + tax (shipping inclusive) I've been going outside to paint weekly to combat the COVID-19  blues. ONE LILY was created at Shady Lakes in Albuquerque that  is stocked with waterlilies everywhere! And throw in some bull  frogs and turtles in the mix. Really a peaceful time.  Pictured below is my blocking-in sketch and the pieced finished  with its frame.

LILY, LILY 7" x 7" pastel 11" square archival white mat * * no glass nor frame $195 + $10 insured shipping + tax inclusive Years ago I was on a lily and koi kick.  So much so, that I even was painting low-fired ceramics and applying the glazes as watercolors.   Above Lily, Lily is an older pastel that I punched up the colors for fun. Think it is time to revisit this topic for awhile.  So let's see what kind of trouble can I get into now . . .

Mesmerized I gazed at the murky, dark waters  of the overgrown pond at a cemetery. Not a thing moved, not a sound escaped . . . was  I  truly alone?  Do you count the souls asleep?

LILY BUDS + PADS 8"h x 10"w SOLD - PRIVATE COLLECTOR Time for a break from skies. And I find lilies are always a soothing topic. Unless it's a very well-groomed water lily pond (and yes, there are a few of those around), the pads cascade and overlap each other. I really enjoy the wild patterns of the jumbled mess! Every once in awhile a new bud pops out - like a breathe of fresh air - and only a matter of time before it blooms. A bit of beauty amongst the tangled mess. Similar to life... yes?
