SUSAN'S . . . PLAYING AGAIN!

  ROLLING BYE 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" pastel white mat, glass + black frame $155 - tax and shipping inclusive  This is another petite pastel that I created to showcase during my  recent class on pastel washes.  Just so much movement!  One can almost feel the clouds passing.

CLOWN KITTY (Gordon) 5" x 5" pastel on wood 6" square white frame and glass Private Collector A week ago Saturday was my time to hang on a sidewalk  at Patrician Design and paint kitties and pooches.  That was a trip! Fortunately it was a sunny, nice day with many people strolling  bye. I got to paint Tater and his Mom brought Tater along.   So I juggled treats, pet the pooch and painted away. Such a happy  dog! And I think Tater had enough treats to last him a week! I painted Clown Kitty (Gordon) before the event, so didn't  have to juggle a kitty. But Gordon really was wearing a clown  collar in the photo, so I didn't take an artistic license and create  it. Wish I would have thought of it though, for so cute!   And if you're in the market for a pet portrait, hop right down to Patrician Design in ABQ for there's one more week to this event. 

ZOE'S BLING 2 6" x 6" pastel * 10" square white mat *no glass nor frame $150 + $10 insured shipping And . . . here's another sweet treat!  The recreated background art was by Zoe, an original Kids Korner participant.  Even though she is not exactly a little kid any longer, this was  just too cute not to paint. Swirling, merging, wisps of pastels . . . falling from the high skies.  Strands so faint and thin, barely illuminating the night.  Everyone's heart is at peace.

Well my petite pastels and myself will be traveling to a show on Saturday, June 16th. That in itself is a rarity, for I typically  do not do outside shows. But this will be a fun event and my art  will be in good company with my artist friend Jori Owens.  The event is the Old House Fair held at 30th & Beech St in South Park. FRIDAY FAVORITES . . . FUN! LAYERS OF THE NIGHT 4" h x 6"w pastel Private Collector This is a past favorite sunset of mine, so decided to roll it out as a Friday Favorites . In fact, since I enjoyed  my little verse so much, am posting again too. Enjoy! At first glance, all was dark . . . subdued and moody tones coating the sky. At second glance, thin ribbons of colors were revealed . . . streaking, as hot flashes.
