SUSAN'S . . . PLAYING AGAIN!

A Mist + Clouds SOLD  So fortunate for had a few sales, that I'll be posting  this week.  DEGREES OF LONELINESS - #1 10" x 10" round mixed media on wood This is the current central piece within the  collection of  Degrees  of Loneliness, which addresses  the fallacy that all elderly people are depressed and  lonely. The collection reflects landscapes and  skyscapes in various stages of sunsets to indicate  levels of depression. Statistics reveal that the  percentage of depressed are actually very minimal. #1 reflects an encroachment of sad emotions on the right side, yet the gold leaf underneath and  which grounds the shrubs, signifies the day is  bright and hopeful.

A QUIET PLACE  5" x 5" pastel 8" square archival white mat, glass + gold frame I'm reposting this scene just because it's available  and I need to find myself a quiet corner today.  And this looks very peaceful! I just finished up two pastel skies workshops which is satisfying yet emotionally draining. It also creates the opportunity to vocalize my personal artistic techniques  and execution. Yet as an artist, I am very visualize, so many  times it's difficult to articulate actions to take when so much  comes intuitively.  But honestly I get so absorbed into creating that I  forget to speak. That's our secret, okey?

STUDY 6" x 6" pastel on paper Out of the heads and back onto the greenery!  Taking a stroll at a  quaint corner of the overgrown Bosque. This little one is a study and currently recreating it larger in my studio. Attempting to keep the looseness of the  pastel strokes.
