I'm in the middle of teaching an introduction to pastels
at UCSD Extension, which is always fun for me. 
Not only do I instruct the wonders of the medium, 
but also refresh myself of other techniques and supplies.

Above is the demo piece on priming canvas panels,
with an under-wash base of acrylic as well as
blocking in the composition with pastel. So much
texture which really changes the finished appearance. 

Above, CRISS-CROSS is my interpretation 
of the movement of clouds at sunrise.

SUMMER PASTEL CLASSES!
