SUSAN'S . . . PLAYING AGAIN!

SWEET, RICH CHOCOLATE 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" pastel 8" square archival white matte, glass + gold leaf frame $150 + $15 insured priority shipping Within 2 days the Jelly Queen , Kelley MacDonald  hit me first with a strawberry glazed and then a  lemon custard donut!  (check it out at Kelly 's site - they're incredibly good)  Ka-boom ... ka-boom! (Ouch... I felt that.) So I'm flinging what I know best - a chocolate glazed donut.  Yummy.... Take that Kelley!

I have been so busy munching away my props with my grandkids - see Zahra? - that I lost track of my painting time. And lo & behold,  who snuck up on me? Well the Queen of Jelly , Kelley MacDonald !  She created an imperial lemon custard and strawberry frosted  in the last 2 days.  Where's the jelly Kelley? And so the Donut War rages along.  Mustn't turn one's back for a minute or will get splat! with jelly.

CORONADO SHORELINE 8" X 10" pastel $425 + $15 insured priority shipping There's a crispness to the air with  a subtle breeze. And chill to the slow, undulating waves. A tranquil ending of the season.

ORANGE WINDOW 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" pastel 8" square archival white matte, glass + gold leaf frame $150 + $15 insured priority shipping Day was quickly becoming night. The blue sky blasted into a soft, subdued pastel palette.  And one lone window shone a brilliant orange hue.

GOLDEN COVE 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" pastel 8" square archival white matte, glass + gold leaf frame So many paths ... which way to go? I traveled each and what did I see? A beautiful cove nestled against blue water. And the second ventured upwards, to the blue, blue sky.

CUDDLED PLEASURE 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" pastel SOLD - PRIVATE COLLECTOR The Donut War is heating up - maybe to go with the weather?  And Kelley  is flinging jelly left and right.  Her delightful, sticky morsels are even quite sensual  with the jelly oozing out!  (Oh, oh....I think she has become Queen of jelly.)  I better hunker down and protect my little treat  from all of that gooey jelly.
