CLOAKED - 8 x 6 mixed media

CLOAKED
8"h x 6"w pencil, gold leaf, fabric + acrylic
mounted onto stretched canvas
$200 + $15 insured priority shipping

The young girl was cloaked . . .
and peered from underneath the fringed lashes.

Wary . . .
from the unknown.

Hidden . . .
from the world.

Just a subtle security.

I absolutely adore this, Susan! What a lovely way to work with a pencil sketch. And as Maria says, it's hauntingly beautiful!

Absolutely beautiful. This looks like a self portrait. If my furnace had not just broke down, Iwould buy it cuz, it would remind me of you daily. Has anyone esle said that it looks like you?

A BIG thanks to everyone for commenting.

You know there is a similarity Debby, but no, it wasn't a self-portrait. Perhaps I should tackle one?

What a departure from your usual postings. Subtle and beautiful to look at. Nice touch with the gold, too!
