Detail of SKETCH OF ZOE 14"h x 11"w pastel  I am honored that Saturday, the 15th I will be giving a  demonstration at Clairemont Art Guild in San Diego.  Frequently I am requested by different art organizations,  but this is my first to Clairemont. After researching, am delighted to see they have been in existence since 1954  and associated with Mesa College Art Department.  Above - Sketch of Zoe - is one of the two paintings which  I will further develop in my demonstration to illustrate use  of soft pastels. The second is a further progressed seascape,  thus individuals can see my distinctive process in it's stages.  I personally feel art guilds are such a wonderful opportunity  for individual growth, companionship and participation in  a community, so am thankful for the invitation to share my art!

REACHING COAST-TO-COAST Blogging has really enlightened and broaden my life. I have  met a while back Kristeena Crabb, a mixed media collage artist  who lives in Delaware. Isn't it amazing how far and wide  one can reach without packing a suitcase?  On an added note, Kristeena featured my little morsel (center),   Drizzles on her blog. DIGNITY pastel SOLD - PRIVATE COLLECTOR After the holidays, I begun to reminisce of people from my past.    Reflecting, I realize that life experiences have  enriched me greatly in so many ways.  Dignity is not only of a friend I lost touch with,  but also a personal, favorite painting that went to another home.
