Bet you thought I would speak about the heat and
begin to reminisce of the years that I lived in New Mexico.
Well it truly was a wonderful sight to behold, all the
blue, blue skies that seem to never end, with huge white
clouds dotting the sky. And the earthen adobe structures
contrasting sharply against those blue skies.
But no . . . I posted this little painting of Taos Pueblo to
let you all know that I am exhibiting eight of my
Southwest pastels at Ray Street Custom Framing and Gallery.
If you live in San Diego, trot over to view tomorrow evening
during Ray At Night, a monthly ArtWalk in North Park from
6 to 9 pm. Or bop over there during the hours of 11am - 6pm,
Tuesday through Saturdays.
Just a slice of Southwestern life!
How lovely! I like the title! And the composition is very striking, with the warm adobe against the blue blue sky. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteGreat sky in this painting,Glad to have you as one of the new daily painters.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your exhibit at Ray Street F&G. Once upon a time I too exhibited during Ray at Night, heh, and that's all I'll say because I fear I might get nostalgic and start reminiscing about my time in CA. (: Love 2 Doors, very vivid colors wonderful!
ReplyDeleteTemptress that you are! Bringing me fond memories of the land of enchantment with truly the best blue skies and sunsets I have ever seen and now sharing them at Ray at Night--one of southern California's regular events that celebrates art, community and free expression!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful- you captured it alright!! Love the colors and the clouds.
ReplyDeleteLove this one. It reminds me of our trip to New Mexico a few years back! Gorgeous blue skies!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Susan!!! You are such an amazing artist.
ReplyDeleteSo very nice of each of you for your comments. Nothing like a blue sky to gaze at to cheer up the day.
