Another day, another time . . . Nary was a soul out.  Solitude. The air was fresh, the winds rolled, and the wet drops caressed my cheeks. Alive.

I went on a small trip for the past two days to visit a close friend,  Joel Sharp . He   and I played with dolls. Not the typical dress-up  with Barbies, but deconstructed old dolls to create little wonders of art.  I know many voiced last year from my Frayed Show , that you were  a bit creeped out by my little dolls, but I just love them! And I have  2 solo shows the latter part of the year, which will include dolls  with my pastels. LAKE MEAD 8"h x 16" wide pastel 12" x 20"  glass + gold frame   I have just returned from playing for two days with a dear friend. Sure spices up one's creativity, as well as so very exciting. And the trouble we got into!  I'm prepping up for two exhibitions the latter part of the year, so needed to get my game on. And the art is quite different from  my quaint, petite pastels. But that is another story,  which I will be posting about tomorrow.  For today, I have an older, yet favorite pastel from my travels  to Boulder Beach at Lake Mead. A wonderful National  Recreational Center with varied terrain of beaches to redrock.

For those that aren't familiar, I pair a delectable cupcake with a  child's piece of art. The child graciously allows me to use their  art as a backdrop, then I recreate the set-up. Upon posting, I  give a spot to the child, which also becomes the painting tag. When the little morsel sells, I send the child a $25 stipend  for use of their image. TUZIGOOT 7"h x 15"w pastel 12"h x 20"w, museum glass + silver frame I've just returned from visiting dear friends,  which was an impetus to reflect on the past.  Not only of my fortunes of such wonderful friends,  families and opportunities, but also of the many  historical discoveries through my meanderings.  Tuzigoot National Monument is one such place and  is located 90 miles north of Phoenix, near Clarkdale.
